My husband and I (we are both 30 yrs old) are looking a nice beach vacation for about 5 days. We live in boston and don't want longer than a 4-5 hour flight. I am pregnant and don't intend do anything too adventurous. We would like a nice resort to stay at, a great beach is a must, a spa that has prenatal massages, good restaurants too! I am hoping to find a hidden gem. We had great luck using this website for our honeymmoon in Barbados. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Our price range is less than $400/night. We would probably go sometime between end of February to beginning of April.

Harbour Island in outer Bahamas is supposed to be pretty, pink beach area.

Hello! I am also pregnant, and we are also from the Boston area. We are going to Grand Cayman in April for 6 nights when I will be 24-25 weeks pregnant. I wanted someplace that was safe, had a great beach and snorkeling, and also super restaurants to dine at. I just want to relax, swim, and eat, LOL!

In the past couple of years, we have also traveled to Anguilla, Aruba, and Turks and Caicos, and enjoyed them all for different reasons. I would suggest Anguilla for you are looking for. Good luck and congrats!

I have been there and Harbour Island IS a pretty place but you would take a chance between February and April on whether or not you would have air and water as warm as you want- it is the Bahamas and not much or any farther south than south Florida. It could be perfect or not- depending on the weather. I live on the Gulf Coast and it was 18 degrees here two nights ago and supposed to be back up to 70 in a day or so- it is very unpredictable. The one time I went to the Bahamas in December they were having a real cold snap and we could not swim, snorkel or anything-very disappointing. I am a big fan of the out islands but I go from April- August.
Farther south would be better for a sure thing for that time of the year. I have been to the Caymans in December and it was warm because it is farther south. I have never been to Anguilla- want to- but I would look into the advice on Anguilla if it is not too long a flight from where you are.

is there anything to do in harbour island, besides snorkel, swim, & eat out?

I'm from VA, pregnant and looking for a vacation before I get too big.
We've been to the BVIs twice and I feel like that might be too far to travel.
The Caymans sound like a good choice, but I don't know anything about them. We want quiet, warm weather, warm water, and snorkeling.
Any thoughts on where to stay?

when are you going? have you settled on cayman, or are you open to other islands?

p.s. did you go to virgin gorda? if so, would you return there? i'm trying to get more info on that island. looking at guavaberry to stay.

To the poster who didn't know much about Cayman but wanted :
- quiet
- warm water
- warm weather
- snorkelling

For all of those, Cayman is an excellent choice.

For the OP, to get somewhere under $400 per night in February, you won't be able to go top of the line (eg Ritz Carlton etc), but still numerous good choices, but as I run a resort that might be on that list, I won't go into recommendations myself :)

I will add my post to this! I am also looking for a great "babymoon" spot for March timeframe.

It looks like people are suggesting either Anquilla or Cayman.

Does anyone have a suggestion on a resort?

I am willing to spend about $500-600 a night.

We stayed there with a 6 month old baby and it was lovely. It is about a 10 to 15 minute drive to town and better sandy beaches, but it is an easy drive (on the other side of the road however). They arrange your rental car.

GC is unbelievably safe and the water is cleaner than here.
