Thanks Blamoma--you nailed it. To me it sounds like a mishmash of many thoughts and ideas from OP. St. Lucia is beautiful I did a tour to be remembered forever and always on that island. People do really need to do their homework prior to booking a place. Some of it sounds like nick picking to me. Nothing positive at all, to be said. If you are not use to A/I resorts the things OP mentions is typical Any time food is included it is not going to top notch and liquor will be watered down. Trust me. I think the other mistake was 2 weeks when they had never traveled to this island before.

Aruba does not allow vendors on the beach. If this is problematic for some folks then I suggest that island I have never seen one in all of my trips.

That was such a long post and I must admit, I was not able to read it word for word. Lol. On the other hand, your negative review when it comes to sandals resort in St Lucia really give the people a view on the place and the services they can get out from the resort.

Its your opinion though and your experience as well and I was left stunned with your thoughts and honest remarks. If this post reached sandals resort then they will probably gotta improve more their service and the place as well.

I am very glad I read this post because my fiance and I are considering the different sandals resorts in st lucia for our honeymoon... This prompted me to do more research and read the not so nice things about these resorts, so thanks! We are hoping to stay 2 nights in Soufriere (hopefully Ladera) and 4 nights in Castries to get a bit of both experiences. I was looking into Sandals Halycon but now not so sure... Anyone have recommendations for other AIs that are similar in price to sandals in the Castries area? Rendezvous? Windjammer? I know there are many others but trying not to break the bank...

I actually just saw that the price that I was quoted for Rendezvous was per person not couple so nevermind with that option! How about Calabash Cove? Not in Castries but close and seems slightly more affordable than other options ($700/night all inclusive is what I'm currently seeing)
