Average age at Peter Island?

My husband and I are thinking about going to Peter Island for a week next June. Just wondering if anyone had any thoughts about the average age of guests there? I'm wondering if they skew a little older because of the expense of PI? We are in our mid-30's and would like not to be the youngest people there.

We went a few years back in October. We're in our 30s. The other couples there were in our age range (mostly honeymooners).
I've read reviews about families going there during the holidays (with their young kids) despite the "kids are discouraged" policy. So those families are probably in their 30s, 40s.

Some say that when you go to Peter Island you will find guests that are "newly wed or nearly dead". LIke the previous poster, we were there about 4 years ago and felt that there was a variety of people. We were in our late 20s at the time and were not the youngest. Its a great place and it will not disappoint.

I was going to use the "newly wed, nearly dead" analogy but the previous poster beat me to it. While you'll find couples of all ages at the resort you have to realize PI (as with other premier resorts) is an expensive resort and thus many couples (especially thoses with families) in their late 30's and early 40's simply don't have the financial means to stay their. It isn't until they become more secure in their careers that they can afford the high price tag. Young newly weds go to these types of places because it's their "one big trip" before embarking on their new life together.

All that said, it is doubtful you'll be the only ones in your age group there since June is a traditional time for lots of honeymooners. Regardless of your age go and enjoy yourself.

We've been going to Peter Island for over 16 years, starting when we were in our 40s. Our daughter honeymooned there and we usually see a lot of honeymooners, young couples, or couples over 50. The group missing appears to be those with children, or teens.

You'll have a great time!

I was waiting to use that term! When I first heard that I cracked up to. - Susan
