August Weather, best island for no rain?

I'm planning a honeymoon, and I was looking at Aruba since it's out of the hurrican belt and best consistent weather. But I would like a more "Caribbean" island, but am afraid of bad weather. Any somewhat safe islands in terms of little rain for August? Contemplating Barbados?
thx,
Stan

Stan, I don't know if you can have it both ways. If you want to guarentee no rain, Aruba or any of the other ABC islands are your best bet. All of the tropical locations tend to get more rain in August, even if they don't get hurricanes because they are in the tropical convergence zone.

You may get lucky. I went on a cruise at the end of July and we had great weather. But there are no certainties.
Barbados is still in the "rain zone". Can you plan your trip for early August?
Late August and all of September are the height of hurricane season. Look at all the tropical storms that are happening near the United States now.

Also, if you get showers in the Caribbean, they are usually brief, unless there is a tropical storm coming through.
