AU girls Caribbean holiday

We are 2 mid 30 Australian girls holidaying in July for approx 10 days definitely looking for the summer we didn't have in Melb, a little shopping and something interesting that would suit our age group (nothing against younger group but past disco pickup thing)! Grateful for any helpful suggestions.

The Bahamas has over 700 islands and cays. Which one(s) are you heading for? Robert

Robert - No plans past when we are going and would like to know which part of the Bahamas would be best for us ie.not a honeymoon place. I know this is broad but after reading many messages and info. we are totally confused and need some direction.

Steph,

Try a local travel agent and see what kind of deals they have available. July is off season for the carribean so your Ausie dollars will go further. The money in the Bahamas is 1 US$ for 1 Bahamian$.

I would suggest taking a look at Atlantis, which is amazing and will have everything you want to do. The resort is huge and lots of restaurants in the complex and on Paradise Island. It's also a quick trip over to downtown Nassau for some good shopping and a few good restaurants.

The Atlantis has a dance spots, casino, show, and something to see everywhere.
You certainly will not be bored.

Hope this helps and have a great time.

Hi Steph,
Although I love the out islands, I think either Nassau or Freeport would suit your needs, with maybe a day trip to Exuma Cay or Harbour Island by ferry.
You can check out my General review of Nassau and vicinity online at:
http://www.epinions.com/content_56825974404
This might give you an idea of what to expect in the Nassau/PI area.
