ATM/Money Confirmation needed
 

All that I have read so far states the ATM machines on Grand Cayman accept Cirrus logo. Can any one confirm? Also, I have a Visa Debit card (wells fargo bank). Anyone have experience using these at various places on the island? I think I am just paranoid, but can someone confirm for me so I can be comfortable with it and not have to come with a giant stash of cash or travelers checks?

I don't know about the cirrus logo, but we basically only used our debit card on the island last year, and had no problems.

The ATM to look for is Cayman Express. Some of the other banks have machines, but they are pretty much for folks with accounts there. I use my Citibank debit card when on the island.

Actually pretty much all the ATMs accept pretty much all (Cirrus and Plus) US ATM cards... we are really pretty civilised down here, we even have 3G GSM cell phones, broadband internet and digital cable :)

We've never had a problem using any ATM for cash. I seem to recall some dispense both US and Cayman currency. I wish the ATM's weren't so easy to use there! We ALWAYS find something we can't live without!
