Atlantis, Paradise Island question

Is there a legitimate way to use the pools at Atlantis if you are not staying there. I know that you can use them if you stay at the Comfort Suites and one or two other nearby hotels. But if you are not staying at one of these places, can you pay a use fee, or use them if you go to lunch?

Thanks for any help.

Wow, I was surprised to hear that you could use them if staying at nearby hotels. When we stayed there, I thought only those staying there had access.

you can use them only if staying at Atlantis or Comfort Suites.
No one else can use them, and they check you and kick you out!

The pools, lazy river, slides and chairs are only for guests at the Atlantis, Harbour Villas, Comfort Suites and I believe people staying at the One and Only Beach Club. All of those facilities are run by the same company. Guests get wrist bands which change daily and visitors without wrist band will be asked to leave by security.

The beach at ATlantis is open to the public so you are certaninly welcome to use the beach. Public areas of the resort are also welcome visitors, shopping gallery, restaurants and casino.

YOu might think about getting a day room at Comfort Suites, that will give you full access to everything at the resort.

Have a great time.

Sorry that's the One and Only Ocean Club

Thanks for the information and the suggestion. Unfortunately, CS would make me take 2 rooms for 5 people, even though 3 of them are my children. This makes it a little pricey for a swim in the pool.

I am trying to decide between Sunrise Beach Club and Comfort Suites. Sunrise Beach Club which looks fairly nice, but a little too quiet for my crew. Comfort Suites gets us the Atlantis pools, but there is construction going on next door. It also has quite a few bad reviews on trip advisor. Atlantis itself is sold out. One and Only is out of my price range.

All you will need is one room at CS, and you should not have a problem with using all the facilities with your children, since you are only going to be there for the day. Also the pool area at CS is very nice there is even a swim up bar and it is alot quieter than Atlantis.

Have a great time.

Actually, CS is pretty strict about thier policy of only 4 to a room. I'm told it's a new fire safety law.

I have tried calling twice about the limit of 4 people to a room. They are pretty firm about it. I would not want to take one room, and then find out that only 4 of us could have bracelets. I'm sure that they have some system for making sure that you only get admission to the pool area for 4 people per room.

wantsomesun: Have you stayed at Comfort Suites? My main concern in reading trip advisor reviews is the housekeeping issues. Are the rooms clean? I'm not expecting a 5-star resort, just basic, clean rooms and facilities.

Excuse me, I meant to address that question to Scubagirl as well. You both sound as though you have been there.

I have seen the hotel but not stayed there and I thought it was a nice place and would absolutely stay there.

I would suggest calling the hotel Manager and explaining that you have 3 children and that you are there for a day and see if they won't work with you.

Let me know if I need to make a call for you.

Hi
After some miscommunications on my travel arrangements, I ended up having to stay at the Comfort Suites for a few days before my stay at the Atlantis. I read the reviews too and wasnt sure what to expect. I wasnt that thrilled with the Comfort Suites. It was just OK. I wore my flip flops at all times. Took a quick shower. I didnt breathe too deeply in the hallways. Was it horrible? No. Would I run back there, No. I was very happy to move my trip to the Atlantis on the latter part of my vacation. There was construction going on when I was there too. I was there in Oct 2005. It didnt disturb us at all but they could be at a different phase at this point.

I will say it was very nice to have access to the Atlantis. I think your kids will love it there....and just for that, I would probably "bite the bullet" and stay there. (This is without seeing Sunrise)

Wantsomesun: Thank you very much for your offer of assistance. However, we have a solution to our dilemma. It did not make sense to me that Atlantis was fully booked for the second week in November, even though the website said there were no rooms available. So I finally called, and there are plenty of rooms available. So we are going to “bite the bullet” and stay at Atlantis at the Royal Tower. Trip Advisor and other reviews, (from people who go with children), are generally positive, except for complaints about how expensive it is. You can actually stay at the Beach Tower for the exact same price as the CS.

Thank you all for your advice and information
