Atlantis is the best???
 

Someone told me that Atlantis is the best hotel. Is it true? Any take on the hotel?

To clarify, you are referring to Atlantis on Paradise Island?<BR>It is a beautiful complex. Have been there 3X, both in the old and new sections. The casino has stunning glass art; the pools and beach are clean and fun(you will be asked more than once to have your hair braided...);<BR>the boats in the marina are drool-worthy!; the rooms standard-but some do have quite the view!<BR>Fair warning though - it is all pricey.Basic egg and toast breakfast for two was $40.00!!Atlantis may have grown too big for their britches.

You are either a troll or very new here.<BR>This is a very old and beat up topic.<BR>Atlantis, beloved by some, is not among the Caribbean's best 30 resorts (as determined by readers' polls from Travel and Leisure and Conde Nast Traveler).<BR>Some people like it.<BR>It's very much like Aladdin hotel Las Vegas plopped down in the Caribbean.<BR>It's glitzy with overpriced mediocre food and tons of kids running all over.<BR>If that's your thing, go for it.

I'm not a 'troll'.<BR>I just wanted to hear some straight scoop on Atlantis. Friends of mine are trying to convince us to go there in May.<BR>They live in Arkansas and used to be our neighbors. We don't always trust their taste and thought maybe people here would have some opinions.<BR>Does Atlantis have a horseshoe pit?<BR>Does it have those fancy thick bath towels in the rooms?
