Atlantis in December?

Has anyone stayed in Atlantis in late December? Is it warm enough to swim? Are the pools and slides heated so that children could swim comfortably if the weather is only in the 70's, which is what I understand the weather to be at that time of the year? Any recommendations for dining, for celebrating NY Eve?

It's location is too close to US mainland being off Ft. Lauderdale about 200 miles. Temperatures in Miami/Ft.Lauderdale can dip to 45-46 at night on occasion with 55-58 high's from mid-Dec.to mid-Jan. While it would normally ne be 5+ degrees warmer in Nassua, because of it's position in the Gulf Stream swimming weather "might" be risky. With all the unpredicability of weather the past 2-3 years it's a toss up, but I believe the East Coast has experienced warmer winters from Ct.-Fl. since 2004.The pools are heated. As for dining, we have not been there for 16-17 months, and chefs change and often so goes the food one way or the other.
Check with conceirge and ask him/her to check if there has been a chef change recently.
Good Luck.
