Atlantis/Bahamas - how long to stay??
After reading all the wonderful messages on Atlantis, my family and I are planning to go there later this year. My questions is:
Is one week long enough or is it too long? (I have two kids, one will be 4 and the other will be one year old)
Thanks

We have been to Atlantis several times and stayed a week each time. However, we did NOT have any children with us, so we were able to totally relax. It depends on your children. There is plenty to do, but your children are quite young and it will probably be up to you to keep them occupies. There is a camp for children available, but it is not cheap.

We have also been there several times. We either went Sunday-Thurs or Thurs to Sunday and alway found it to be perfect time wise. The Atlantis itself is gorgeous but thats about it. You won't want to wander off the grounds too much.
Four days maybe five is enough.

7 days is a good amount of time to stay at Atlantis. It will take you 1 day to get settled when you arrive and one day at the end to get ready to leave. You always lose those two days. That gives you 5 days for fun in the sun. There is a baby sitting service at the hotel. For those grownups only dinner nights. You might want to check into that. I believe it was $12 an hour for a 3 hour minimum. Be sure to eat at DUNE over at the Ocean Club.
