sorry, didn't stay at Asta but we dropped off some people there. It was very convenient for everything. Have talked to people who are returning there so that must say something!

Hi Jill, I stayed at Asta about three years ago. It is walking distance, I believe, from St. Lawrence Gap. But you need to take either one of the buses or taxi's to Bridgetown. Recognizing that the price to stay there is low, the hotel and pool were nice. Each room has a stove, sink, and refrigerator. There is a restaurant with a bar and a beach grill with bar. The beach is pretty small - but I am told that you can walk up the beach quite a ways. There are plenty of great places to eat around there and the hotel hooks you up with tour companies etc. to take island tours. Also keep in mind that May is off-season, so things have slowed down quite a bit. All and all - we had a good time and would go back there.

Hi Jill - oh - there is room service - I had to pick it up at the bar when I ordered. There is a little grocery store right on the property. It seemed a little expensive - but when I checked at a grocery store in Bridgetown - the store at Asta was the same price and the really had most everything you need.

Thanks for the info.<BR>I'll let others know how I made out when I return.
