Although we ate at several of the repeatedly recomended restaurants, our best ezperiences were at two lesser know places.

Amazonia Churrascaria is a Brazilian Steakhouse where they bring the skewers of meat to the table and slice off as much or as little as you like. It was the best food of the trip and some of the best service I have ever had anywhere. If you check the coupon books, you will find a coupon for either a free glass of wine for each person or 10% off at this restaurant.

Zeerovers is in Savaneta at the south side of the island. It is a block from the much better known and much fancier Flying Fishbone. It is more of a place for the locals, not much more than a dock side shack. Fishing boats go out from the dock, and Zeerovers serves what they bring back. The food is fried in a tiny outdoor kitchen.
