Aruba with teens
Any suggestions for which snorkeling, windsurfing for beginners and wakeboarding for beginners programs to choose for our boys ages 13 and 15? Can our 15 year old drive in Aruba with a learner's permit? Wyndham vs Radisson with these guys?

Kaye,
International and most foreign drivers LICENSES are accetpted in Aruba, but it must be a LICENSE.
Would you really allow your 15 year old drive with only an LP in Aruba? I can't think of a single car rental company that would allow you to put a 15 year old on the rental agreement and most likely the insurance would not cover him.
I'm taking my 18 year old to the Caribbean this summer and though he's been licensed for over a year, he still won't be driving on vacation because no car rental company will allow it.
15 is WAY TOO YOUNG to be driving in a foreign place.
I agree with Elise. It's really a poor idea to allow a 15 year old child, inexperienced, unlicensed to drive in any foreign country.
IMO the Radisson would probably suit your family better. They are very accomodating of families and I'm sure your boys could enjoy the watersports.

Re driving question. Car rentals companies will not licesce anyone who is not 21 - at least this was the case in the British West Indies. Aruba may be different. Please don't let your 15 year old drive in Aruba - you'll be asking for trouble.

Kaye,
Are you serious? You would actually contemplate putting your 15 year old son behind the wheel of a car in Aruba?
I'm hoping you were only kidding. Please reassure me.

Definitely the Wyndham--get a deal on a full suite--they're huge whereas Radisson is not as large.
Plenty of watersports offered at the pier and at the hotel. Several very good restaurants on site at the Wyndham and plenty of activities during the day, the Radisson is quieter.
At the low-rise section, La Cabana suites have kitchens if you prefer to prepare light breakfasts, lunches etc. Amsterdam Manor also has large rooms and kitchenettes and the happy hours are really fun.
