Aruba vs. Curacao

Hi! Planning a trip for our family of 4, including a 5 & 2 year old girl to Aruba in June. We're adventurous travelers and our girls travel well. I'm looking at the cost of flying to Curacao vs more time in Aruba. We currently are staying at the Marriott in Palm Beach for 4 nights, 5 days and would love to add on a few days before or after. We're looking at the Renaissance hotel for the girls to see their favorite animal- the flamingo! Flights to Curacao are around $165 roundtrip. How many days would you suggest staying in Curacao, and what part of the island? Or extend our stay in Aruba and stay in a different part of the island for a less touristy feel? I've never been to Curacao or Aruba and I'm sure there's pros/cons to both! I'd love some opinions and advice on travel times, activities and itineraries!

I'm super curious to know if there will be an inter-island ferry in operations by June?!?!! Thanks for all your help and knowledge!!!

Hi Team Ferrin! you can't go wrong in the ABC's - (Aruba, Bonaiere, and Curacao). A is very touristy, while Curacao is more "real" and Bonaire the least touristy. As for moving around, there are a couple of budget airlines that you can hop on while there to explore for not exorbitant $$$. Ferries are a little tougher as service is less frequent but certainly doable but in your time frame might prove challenging. My 2 cents would be to spend tome time in Willemstad rather than something in a less touristy area of Aruba; and you if you have time go to Lac Bay in Bonaire. Cheers!
