Aruba radisson

I am going to Aruba July 3-July 7th. I could not beilve how expensive the flights are to Aruba in the summer. I just heard that the Radisson just completed a $52 million dollar renovation. Has anyone stayed at the hotel and can you compare it to the Marriot?? Thanks!!!

If you check out the hotel's website (Radisson.com, then type in Aruba)there are nice 360 degree video images of the suites, the view of the resort, the beach, the casino, etc.
That's a good start to give you some details.

The renovation was completed in September of 2000. Better than the Marriott. Stayed there 4/18-4/25.

We stayed @ the Raddison for 10 days Apr 13- Apr 27th. This was our 5th time to Aruba and the Radisson. I would never recommend it again. Stay @ the Marriott. Spa was 10 times better. We arrived on Apr 13th and was told they were overbooked and we would have to stay at the Wyndham over night. No way were we packing and unpacking twice. Then every day we had to go down to the front desk and have someone elses charges removed from our bill. (view your bill from the TV in your room)

Check out arubabound.com, and you will find many comparisons and info on the Radisson and Marriott.

Radisson is nicer than the Marriott. Marriott is a close 2nd behind both the Hyatt and Radisson. I stayed at the Hyatt last summer.

Take a virtual tour of all Aruba hotels to compare on:

www.travelhop.com

Marriott is a distant, not close, second. It is a 3 dressed up like a 4 & claims to be a 5!

The Aruba Radisson is an amazing property, by far the best in Aruba. I've stayed there 3 times since the renovation and always had a perfect experience. The staff and amenities are fantastic!

Had a similar experience to Jan L's posting. We did not have to move, but the hotel said they were overbooked and had to bump some people to the Wyndham. Even though I had a signed letter from the Radisson GM, guaranteeing an free upgrade, they could not honor it I was disappointed in thier handling of the situation. I also am staying away from Aruba for awhile until they get their act together.
