Rachel-

You should be safe in terms of weather @ both of the places you have mentioned.

It all depends on what you want.

What are you looking for?

Aruba is sort of like an arid desert island, however, each resort is most beautifully landscaped. You can watch the beach @ night without fear that someone will do something to you. The people are extremely friendly.

There is also alot of activities - horse back riding, jeep tours, Orangestead downtown shopping, carrage rides downtown, snorkeling, sailing, sunset sailing, etc. Tons of stuff to do.

St. Lucia I hear is lovely and very tropical looking. I think you have to be careful with what you eat. My friends went there on there honeymoon and one got really sick. Still, they said it was such a lovely lovely island and can't wait to go back.

Have fun, and post another question if you need more info on Aruba.

Aruba's best resorts are Hyatt, RAddison and Marriott.

Thanks for the info. I am not sure what I am looking for. I know we want to relax but at the same time not be bored.
I heard the hilton villa's are nice in St. Lucia. They have a private small pool. aNYONE been there?

Rachel-

One other thing about Aruba, is that you can either relax or stay busy. It's all up to you. I liked it because you could go off to secluded beaches on the north side of the island and be with just the two of you.

Do a search on St. Lucia and you should find a ton of advice. It does look absolutely beautiful. From what my friends said, they have whale watching tours, so that is cool.

If you're worried about being bored, I would try Aruba. Southern St. Lucia (which is where the Hilton is located) is very laid back and quiet with very limited nighlife and dining choices. I've heard the same about the Hilton even though it is very beautiful.
