Aruba or Punta Cana ?

Any opinions out there on Punta Cana? Have been to Aruba twice (loved it) and have recently heard about Punta Cana. Some properties look very nice on-line but still hard to tell over the internet.

I heard that Secrets in Punta Cana is beautiful. It's AI. Friends went there last May and loved it

Aruba and Punta Cana are VERY different. Punta Cana is a very poor area whereas Aruba is not. That said, I had a great vacation at Secrets Excellence in Punta Cana last summer. It is an adults only all inclusive. Each room had a jacuzzi tub, the pool runs through the property, good beach, good food. In Punta Cana you will NOT want to leave the resort and do exploring on your own.

It's even an easier decision....Aruba is Americanized....Punta Cana is not...$$$ I think Secrets would be a better deal.. I myself am going to their sister resort next door in three weeks..Sunscape Beach...
