Aruba or Jamaica all inclusive, which is cheaper?

My fiance and I are deciding where to go on our honeymoon for 7/99. We are 100% sure we want to go all inclusive,.. Aruba's LaCabana and Allegro offer great prices for a week's stay at around 1200 per person with flight, we were just wondering about all inclusive Jamaica resorts? Would "couples" or "beaches" be cheaper or about the same? We'd like a couples only resort, but any all inclusive would be fine. What's more romantic? We're flying out of NY. THANKS!

Hi, no= Couples and / or Beaches in Jamaica is not cheaper.......but, much more expensive. To go there you are looking at about $2000-$3000 per person including airfare.

neither is cheaper as it's kind of comparing apples to oranges. the 'bargain' all inclusives in Jamaica may not be where you want to do that honeymoon thing, however I have heard that the Enchanted Garden in Jamaica is couples only and absolutely gorgeous and romantic...just not on the beach - but the price is about $1,200. Cdn a week so that's like what $700. in your money!
As for Aruba, don't bother with LaCabana unless you want a huge impersonal resort with tonnes of singles/families/couples and a beach that's across a very busy main road. If you can afford it - stay at the all-inclusive Allegro (which used to be the Americana). Much nicer property and on the best beach..albeit the busiest! We loved Aruba.
Write if you have any other questions.
We have bought a time share at La Cabana. The resort is great and the beach is beautiful. The "busy" street is nothing to cross and there is very little traffic. The food is excellent and the casino is right there. The Outback steakhouse is very good too. If you're on your honeymoon I'm sure you'll love Aruba.

The most romantic Caribbean vacation we ever had was Negril, Jamaica. There are several all-inclusives there you might investigate: Sandals, (I've known people who have gone every year for 12 years) Couples, Hedonism II, Grand Lido (very expensive). Personally, I don't like all-inclusives, but many people like not having to make decisions about where to eat or whether or not to pay $30 for a snorkle trip, etc. Everything is included, and your hardest decision may be banana or papaya cocktails! (Be sure to try Red Stripe beer or Ting sodas!)

You may want to look into Breezes Runaway Bay. All the responses I've seen were great.
