Aruba Marriott or Radisson??

I am going to Aruba in May with my husband and am booked for 3 nights at the Marriott Resort. The price is right at 195.00 for "Deluxe Ocean View" and the Radisson is definitely more money for less of a view. But I've read some scary things about the Mariott on this site. Can anyone compare the two for me? We have been plagued with bad vacation experiences, so we don't want to make an unavoidable mistake like a bad hotel choice. Thanks!

The Marriott has just begun refurbishing all of their guest rooms.

I know the Radisson is more expensive but if you want peace of mind, stay there. I don't think the views are too much different to be honest as both are on the same stretch of beach. I spent alot of time at the Radisson and it is a beautiful resort from the pool, to the bar, rooms and food. You won't be dissapointed.

The Marriott is a beautiful property--not sure if you are at the hotel or the Beach Club (they are next to each other) but you should be happy with your choice. Everything about this property is well done. I've never had a bad room in either building (been there 6 times!!!). We're back next week for a two week stay at the Beach Club. I understand the Radisson is now a very wonderful resort, but won't know more until I see it! It was still being worked on last year. Have fun!

I decided to stick with the Marriott. Thanks to ArubaLisa, I e-mailed the Property Manager and he was very helpful in addressing the compaints that I saw on this site. My new question is, has anyone been there in May? What should I expect weather-wise, or is it always pretty much the same? Thanks! And thanks to those who responded to my original question!

Little rain, high's in the high 80's and lows around 80 degrees. Go and enjoy! May is a terrific time of the year, kiddies are still in school and high season is over...
