Aruba in late June early July

We are heading there for our hm the last week in Juneand staying at Radisson. Is it crowded? Super hot?
Are things still open on Sundays?
I can't wait!
I can handle the heat and we love meeting new people so crowds don't bother us either :)

Also, do you recommend doing an island tour or should we rent a car and do it ourselves?

It's hot but not unbearable, it's been hot right now with little tradewinds...

SOME places are open on Sundays.. grocery stores close early.. but some places are open.. not all...

I say rent a car! Check out Baby Beach for sure... the national park also...

Aruba has consistant trade winds, so it shouldn't be too hot. We went in a September and found it not as hot as Mexico during the same time frame.

Aruba is easy to get around, so renting a car vs tours is a personal choice. We prefer tours. We did a Island jeep tour and a beach hoping tour. There are many resturants just across the street from the Radisson, but there are a couple like the Flying Fishbone and The Old Man and the Sea that you will need a car if you chose to dine there. Maybe decide beforehand what you want to see and do with a car and then just rent for the days you'll need it.

I agree with above that there is a constant wind in Aruba that does help to keep the heat at bay. Wear lots of sunscreen you are right near the equator and you will get fried!! You may not feel it because of the winds. We had a great time in Aruba when we went. Go to aruba-bb.com It is a bulletin board all about aruba. Not sure what it is like today. I went to the website 4 years ago when we went and there was lots of current info on the restaurants and stuff to do. Hopefully it still does.

We have never been to Aruba during the summer season but my folks have and they say that it's not unbearable like some suggest. It has the constant northeast wind blowing which makes the weather very pleasant, especially when lying on the beach. For more information on Aruba you can find some helpful information on www.aruba.com. We always rent a car in Aruba since taxis are so expensive and we do like to get around. We also take island tours where our cars won't take us or just for fun times. The madagascar safari tour is great and horseback riding with El Paseo Ranch is a must do!
