Aruba Holiday Inn/Mariott Surf Club

How far from the Marriott Surf Club is the Holiday Inn? We are traveling with a group and some are staying at the Marriott Surf Club, we are considering staying at the Holiday Inn. It appears close on the map, is it within reasonable walking distance? Has anyone had experiences with the Holiday Inn that they wish to share? We'll be going in May. Thank you

They are adjacent to one another... definitely within walking distance (less than 5 minutes).

Very close. It is like the above poster said, about a 5 minute walk on the beach.

My parents recently stayed at the Holiday Inn while relatives stayed at the Marriott. They found the two hotels very convenient to one another. And the short walk will be nice after a huge Aruban meal! ;)

Did your parent's experience any problems going onto the Marriott property? Are they strict about using their pool and beach. We want to be able to spend time with our friends at the Marriott Surf Club.

It's one long beach open to everyone. Only guests can reserve Marriott palapas but other than that everything is accessible and as long as they are with guests of Marriott they will not have any problems.

Sorry -- haven't been on in a few days. Nope, no problems getting onto properties. Aruba is a safe island, and none of the major hotels are all-inclusives -- so the hotel grounds are open to visitors.
