Aruba
Can anybody give me any current info on La Cabana? It seems it is eithier great or terrible. From the cleanest rooms ever to bugs crawling every where.

Check out reviews on www.tripadvisor.com
However, peoples opinons vary greatly. Read between the lines and take it with a grain of salt. Very picky stuff that bother some people might not be an issue to others. Opinions on food is very subjective, and I disregard most of it. Alot of people use reviews as personal vendettas. We picked the Holiday Inn for our trip in Sept. It gets pretty bad reviews, but we've stayed at HI at other places without a problem. Good Luck. |
My brother and his wife have been taking their three kids there for the past 8 years and staying for two weeks at a time. They seem to love it. I hope that helps. I have never heard them complain about a thing.
Happy Hilidays! |
We were there in Sept. 2005. We stayed in the rear, newer part. It was very nice. Our friends stayed in the older front part. They had no problems whatsoever. The walk to the beach is a non-issue, no big deal. We didn't eat there at all except for bar food. Aruba has dozens of great restaurants!

We stayed at the Marriott & toured LaCabana. To me, La Cabana seemed to be too crowded and the more downscale than the Marriott. I recall the pool area looking like there was too much concrete.
With that said, I know people who love La Cabana. For me it is too crowded and seemed and too 'Jersry Shore'. |
go to aruba-bb.com It is a website forum that is dedicated to aruba. There are lots of people who travel to La cabana all the time. Maybe they can give you some current information.

What you may not know is that the LaCabana is a timeshare, so many people who post trip reviews or are repeat visitors are timeshare owners there so keep that in mind when reading the trip reviews.

LaCabana is like anywhere else - it has it's fans and people who didn't like it there. I tend to take the reviews of a resort with a grain of salt unless all are poor. LaCabana is only partial timeshare. As someone who has stayed at LaCabana twice and isn't a timeshare owner I can recommend the resort. Sheer luxury and pampering you will not get at this resort but if you are looking for full suite (full kitchen, dining area, living area, bathroom and bedroom(s) at the price you would pay for a single room elsewhere at a large, family-oriented resort on Eagle Beach it's a great fit.
