Are upgrades a possibility at Sandals Royal Bahamian?

We have reservations for a 3 night stay at the Royal Bahamian, in a deluxe room. Has anyone had any experiences getting a complimentary room upgrade there?

have your travel Agent send a VIP letter the to resort requesting a complementary room upgrade is at all possible. My agent has a standard VIP letter that is fantastic that she send at least 3 times to the resort for every cleint asking for an upgrade if possible or at elast for a some kind of nice complementary treat of some kind. She also sends of copy of the fax to the client so they know she is trying to get an upgrade for them.

Yes, we were there last Feb and recieved an upgrade without even asking. We were booked in a deluxe room and ender up in an oceanfront suite. Good idea to ask your travel agent to fax a letter or calling them. Have fun my daughter is getting married there in 4 weeks.

Yes! I have experience with trying to get a room upgrade here! No! Is the answer! Our travel agent assured us that we would receive an upgrade for our 15th Wdding Aniversary. Upon arrival, there was no talking about it whatsoever. The concierge at that place was practically invisible and so were we. I would not go back. Returning to SuperClubs, Grand Lido Negil for 4th time soon, and sorry I ever tried Sandals.

Up grades are usually easier to get if you are a returning guest. Was there 2 times in 2000, going back in Aug 2001.
Had no problem getting an upgrade. If rooms are available you will have a good chance.
