Are mosquitos a problem in St. Barth's in November?

Many villa websites advertise "no mosquitos"...or "window screens"...or "mosquito netting". What's up with that?

Should we make sure the villa we rent has either screens or netting? Which is the best?

Yes, there are mosquitos in Nov. Make sure the house has good screens and ask the villa co. to spray if you arrive and see a problem. We rented a villa at Lorient Beach this past Nov. and had TONS of mosquitos. It also helps if the bedrooms have AC so that you can turn it on and close the door, just make sure to keep the door closed all the time so at least you may not have to deal with them at night in bed. A villa higher in the hills might be better, depending on the trees, etc. We were near the water and the property had lots of trees, etc.
