Anything like the privacy of Eluthra but with a party atmosphere in an AI

Eluthra is known for its beaches with privacy but it seems too quiet for any beach party or night life. Any Advise??

markymark: you're not getting any answers to your posts because it doesn't exist-forgive my blunt opinion-but it's not beneficial to a resort to be AI if it's not feeding the masses-and no parties or nightlife if you want want privacy-it's a contradiction!

Well, blamona really said it all. The allure of Eleuthera is that there are no AIs, no wild nightlife. It's pure escapism.

If you want nice beaches and a party atmosphere, consider going to Negril in Jamaica. There should be plenty of options in all price ranges for accommodations for you, ranging from the $40/night shared dormitory room to the $1000/night high end AI.

i've been trying to think of anyplace to meet your needs for days now. have to agree with others, finding a resort that offers both is unlikely.

however, without knowing your budget i'd like to suggest you look at the boutique hotels near playa del carmen, mex.
http://www.mexicoboutiquehotels.com/...ya/index.shtml
is 15 mins away from pdc, which is a great party town.
or http://www.mexicoboutiquehotels.com/deseo/index.shtml
even smaller hotel. i think deseo is a couple miles closer to pdc.

an adults only ai within walking distance of pdc is royal playa del carmen. if you type kvr into the search box on the latin america board you'll find her trip reports of that resort. actually she might be able to suggest more possibilites as she has been to several as i recall.
good luck.

I'm not too familar with Eleuthera. We did go to Princess Cays on a cruise, which I understand it a part of Eluthera. We also try to find destinations that during the day the beaches are quite and uncrowded, and in the evening there is good nightlife.

Look at Cozumel. We've been 3 times and it's still one of our favorite Islands. We loved Chakanaab Park. Very nice beach and not crowded if you go first thing when it opens before the cruise ships get there. We are considering the Avalon Reef Club on Isla Mujeres, which is a ferry ride from Cancun. The hotel is an AI and is somewhat secluded, but easy to get to nightlife by golf cart rental.

We did stay at the Royal Playa del Carmen, which is a very nice AI, but you won't find privacy or uncrowded beaches there. Look at Tulum or Puerto Aventuras about an hour outside of Play del Carmen.

Also, Eagle Beach in Aruba during low season, Sept - Nov. The beach there is not very crowded, and is an easy walking or a bus ride away from nightlife.

We had orgianlly planned a trip to Curacao and chose the Lion's Dive. A small hotel on a very nice beach. Reported as quite during the day, but comes alive at night. Easy walking distance to several restuarants and bars. There are many beaches within reach with a rental car that are supposed to be quite since they don't have any facilities. We still have it on our list.

You might think about Harbour Island, since the resorts have a dine around program. There are a couple of places there also that won't break the bank, like Baretta's and Tingum Village.

STayin on HI, you can get away from the crowds, but have the option of several fun nite spots.
