Have not stayed at either , but passed them both a few times while in Portie . San Cove is on the water , while Chateau is high up in the hills behind Goblin Hill Villas ..... Tons of villas in this old world Caribbean style in this area ( they are a bit funky in deco. ! )They seemed o.k.

Thanks for your reply. Did you enjoy your time on this side of the island? I have always wanted to go to Negril but came across these two properties and they have me thinking.

At the same luxe level, add Earl Levy's 'The Castle' to your list. It's over-the-top fantasyland and just quirky enuf to be completely enchanting, if pricey. Port Antonio doesn't have AIs en masse yet -- so go now, before Dragon Bay reopens as a Sandals. You'll see one of the best areas of island still relatively untouched by major tourism.

supposedly The Castle is falling into real dis-repair , while still demanding big prices . And not just getting worn around the edges , a bit more than that .....
