Didn't stay there, but used the health spa, which was great. See my reply to the other post on Barbados from today. SL have a good website.

Kate B

I just returned from a relaxing week at Sandy Lane. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The spa was excellent. The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly.

Please e-mail me with specific questions.

Stayed at the Sandy LAne last July on a golf package. This is currently on eof the top if not the top hotel resort spa in the region. Imagine a property where absolutely no expense was spared from the plasma tvs in every room to the qualit of the door trim moldings and thats the Sandy Lane. The golf was great and the spa was one of the best I have seen anywhere. They even have an ice cave. The staff was very good, equally Four Seasons or Ritz quality.

I dont care for the beaches on Barbados as the sand is not as fine or white as say in Anguilla, but for golf, a great spa and first clss surroundings you will not beat this place anywhere in the Carribean.

Hope this helps

I'm curious why Sandy Lane does not get more acclaim here at Fodor's.
As Jay stated, it is one of the best resorts in the Caribbean in terms of room quality and service.
It was just ranked very favorably in the current Conde Nast Traveller Top 100 Lists, top 5 in the Caribbean as I recall.

Why no press coverage or discussion?

Suure its beaches aren't like Cap Juluca's. But this is a great resort.
