Anyone been to Caneel recently?
 

Has anyone stayed at Caneel recently? How would you rate the service? Have they cut back on staff or are they in "full swing" and at full capacity. Any info you can give me would be appreciated. Thanks.

I was there 3 weeks ago and it was wonderful. I could not tell if they cut back on staff we did not notice at all. We felt the service was very good.

Caneel always does well and its prices reflect it!!Hate to pay it and we do. Have not seen any new promotions on their web site like other top places in the caribbean. Time will tell, so go and enjoy. I have always felt their service could be better-not in Turtle Bay restaurant etc, but on the beaches. I arrived last year in January and for 3 days one of the arm chairs at Paradise beach was full of towels, and a few plastic cups on the sand! I finally brought them up to my patio for the maids to collect! And their prices still keep going Up!

Penny -- I just booked an ocean view room on cottage point during the first week in January. Have you ever stayed at cottage point?

Cottage Point is a wonderful location! You can walk everywhere, great view and very peaceful. Make sure you treat yourself to lunch or breakfast at The Turtle Bay House, or get a picnic hamper to your room. Have fun-great from the beach snorkeling. Love watching the Pelicans at Paradise Beach!
