Anybody visited Varadero recently may be able to help: <BR><BR>The new Sandals Hicacos may or may not be open now. just got back, never saw the place. Sorry!

My friend just got back on Saturday and she said the Sandals is still under construction and they advised that the resort is expected to open in November 2002.

The Sandals Hicacos is NOT ready --its not even close to being ready...I would not book that resort until like January!!!<BR><BR>You may want to try its sister resort "beaches", or I stayed at the Tryp Peninsula --which was absolutely georgous!!!! Good luck!<BR><BR>
