Any reviews for the Hard Rock at Punta Cana?
My husband will be celebrating his 60th birthday this September and I am trying to find a really great all inclusive. Unfortunately, it seems that most of the all inclusive resorts in the Bahamas are closed in the month of Sept. I rely heavily on Trip Advisor reviews and have read about the Hard Rock in Punta Cana. It is really almost a 50/50 on reviews. Does anyone have any info after staying there, and if not another suggestion? We are open to any island as long as there is a lot to do. If it was just us we would go for romantic but we will be traveling with our son who is 36 and his girlfriend!! Thanks for any input.

We will probably be downgrading our review of the Hard Rock in the DR for next year. My writer feels it's just gone downhill (and it is among the more expensive resorts there). She feels it's too busy and loud, but if nightlife is one of your primary goals, I think it is worth considering. I know many people who absolutely love it.
You can always go to Atlantis in the Bahamas, which offers an all-inclusive plan, if you really want to go to the Bahamas. But to be honest, I don't think that's the best location for an all-inclusive vacation regardless of the month.
Your best option would probably be an AI resort in Playa del Carmen, which would give you proximity to town for nightlife and dining if you want to get off-resort, or in Cancun itself, which has a lot of wonderful resorts. But I think the Riviera Maya, particularly on the higher end, offers a lot to everyone, and Mexico is generally the best value and offers the best resorts in the whole Caribbean region. Jamaica is also a very good destination for AI vacations, particularly Negril.
