Hit return by mistake. Anyhow, got married in St Lucia in August. Would definately recommend Ladera and Anse Chastenet for privacy, luxury and service. A few phone calls and faxes beforehand created the perfect church wedding in the St. Lucia countryside. Write us for any needed details.

Hi Grant- We're looking for a Honeymoon location in late Sept. Someone recommended Sandals St Lucia Halcyon. We're not sure if we should take the inclusive route or do our own thing. What can you say about the places you mentioned? Any info would help! We're 30 yrs old.
Thanks!

Ladera and Anse Chastenet are a bit moe private and upscale than Sandals. They are also further south and in a much nicer part of the island. Anse has inclusive packages, is on the beach and surrounding cliffs, has scuba, boats, beach bar, music, etc. Harrison Ford stays there on holiday. Ladera is high on a mountain and very nice. Oprah prefers this place. We stayed in a huge villa with our lap pool. Like at Anse, there is one open wall. It is really cool waking up with a view of the pitons overlooking your pool. We got an offseason villa for 199 dollars. Their restaurant is also open air and features the top chef on the island. They arranged our wedding. They do not have any inclusive packages. each hotel has excursions to the nearby volcano, botanical gardens, rain forest, etc. Beacuse both resorts are open air, they lack air conditioning. It was hot, but we didn't mind. At the end of our trip we stayed up North in Rodney Bay. Very congested, but had fun in Gros Islet and dining at Cap Estate. Also rode horses on the beach. We felt that all inclusive deals would tie us to the resort. We loved renting a car and cruising around the island. Both resorts have web sites. Check them out.
