Any local Knowledge out there on GC

Hi -

I have written a couple of notes, but haven't received any responses. Are there any locals, or frequent travelers, with knowledge of the GC and how can I reach them?

Thanks,

Talbot

I'm not sure what kind of info you need, but did you try searching GC on this message board for past posts? For photos, go to www.caymanphotos.com.
Also, try tripadvisor's forum.

Heh Talbot I live on GC and if you need some advice please I check the site on weekdays. For jogging many people either jog West Bay rd or run the Safehaven Golf Course loop. If you're a early morning runner or late evening please wear your flasher, most of the roads are dark. If your a midday runner all I can say is its hot! I personally like the evening run and I run up at the Yacht club, only because I live in that area.

Spankerdog -

Thanks for the info. What about the nightlife? Does it exist? What are some good spots to hang out?

Also, is GC looking for people to work?

Look forward to hearing from you.

Some good spots to hang out would be Aqua Beach, Coconut Joes, Deckers, Fidels, Sunset House(Fridays), Rackhams, it does depend on your age and what kind of party ur looking 4.For late nite try next level, o-bar and club octopuss. All depends on what kind of work ur looking for. Marriott Beach will be looking for servers in April for June opening, Hyatt not opening till Feb 06 and the Ritz is scheduled for Nov 05 they will be looking for people also. Some restaurants are still closed down, not many but most of their staff are just off island waiting to come back. My suggestion is if your coming down for a vacation spend a day or two looking around. Don't go looking for the job island style ( flipflops and shorts ) it doesn't wash down here, all places are looking professional hospitality workers as the clients are upscale. Hide the tats if you have them. If your a tradesman no problem you've got work for years. Don't tell immigration that your looking for a job either when you enter the country.
