Antigua vs. Barbados vs. Jamaica

After narrowing down my choices based on airfare, travel time, and hotel price- I have narrowed it down to three islands. Antigua, Barbados or Jamaica. We have a budget of $6,000. This vacation is all about rest and relaxation. We must have all inclusive and a great beach- snorkeling would be a plus but not as important as a great beach. We are leaving the kids with grandparents and want an adult only resort. We have been to Negril. The beach at the RIU was man made and the water was murky, and there were several people including my daughter who were stung by jellyfish. There are some really romantic resorts further down the coast but my S.O. is set on a great beach not cliffs. We loved Jamaica once we got away from the resort so this time we are thinking about Ocho Rios. Antigua has some really nice hotels that are secluded and on gorgeous beaches.I have fallen in love with these outdoor showers... I'm confused on Barbados it may be too developed for my taste. But I did find some decent rates at resorts there. Any advice is welcome!

What do you mean by too developed? Barbados is not as poor as the other two islands, if that's what you mean. Due to that though, you won't have as many choices when it comes to all inclusive adult only resorts.

I haven't been to Antigua but I 100% prefer Barbados over Jamaica.
If you've already been to Negril (nicest beach in Jamaica to many) and don't want to return it sounds like you might be better off with Antigua.

I'm crazy for Negril but I do stay on the Cliffs not the beach, and don't go all-inclusive, so that's no help. Good luck with your decision. Hopefully more people will chime in.
