ANTIGUA - Millers By The Sea - HELP !!
Has anyone heard of or went to MILLERS By
The Sea in ANTIGUA?? I read that it is a beach and entertainment center near where our Carnival ship will be docking. Like to know if we should go there, what is the entertainment center, does it cost to go in, etc. Wonder if we can walk from ship, or how much taxi will be?

went to Miller by the sea 2 years ago. Not that big - certainly no entrance fee. A large patio, volleyball in front, hames room in back with slot machines etc ... It was probably the cheapest "nice" restaurant on the island and everyone was very friendly. It's about a 30 minute walk from your ship in st john. Not "to die for" but still lots of fun.

Asked a taxi driver to take us to Millers last year (off Monarch) and then realised there were about 300 other cruise ship guests there. Taxi driver suggested Amigos, a small beach-front Mexican restaurant on Runaway Bay instead, and that was Paradise by comparison. Peaceful, quiet, great food, friendly service and reasonable prices. The experience taught us not to mindlessly follow the crowd!

Miller's is OK, but as Jim said, there will be TONS of cruise ship passengers there so if you don't like the crowds, skip it.
You might like to take an island tour. There are 2 tour companies on the island: BoTours and Tropikelly. Both do some really good tours. You can get more info on Antigua at www.antigua-barbuda.org
