Anniversary trip - HELP!
 

Hi,
My husband and I will be celebrating our 20th anniversary in Oct. We have 4 kids, lots of stress and have only had one vacation alone together since our honeymoon - we don't want to mess up! We'd like an adult only facility on a beach, possibly all-inclusive, with activities available either on site or nearby. We like the idea of a clothing optional area within the hotel/resort but not a huge party atmosphere. We are open to splitting the week between 2 places, one more restful and the other more active. Are all the bigger resorts going downhill? Recent trip reports about Superclubs and Couples seem to be discouraging... Obviously, we don't travel much so we'd be grateful for any help.

Secrets Capri in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico is very nice.

Grand Lido Negril would fit your needs nicely, as well as Grand Lido Braco. Upscale, adults only and with clothing optional beaches and pools. I prefer GLN but I am a beach lover. Very good food, low key and with a great staff.

I don't Secrets Capri is clothing optional but you could spend a day down in Tulum where that's not a problem.

Azulik in Tulum is popular and clothing optional.

I am not a mega-resort fan. Secrets is nice as it's 300 rooms or so and adults-only so you won't be sharing the pool & hot tub with everyone else's kid. LOL.
