Probably Rendezvous Bay on the St Martin side and Shoal Bay Beach East on the Atlantic side. Although on that side of the island it is pretty well protected by reefs off shore. Wouldn't say and beach is really rough ie, breakers and strong surf

Any opinions on Rendezvous Bay hotel?

Thank you

generally most beaches are pretty calm but Rendezvous is subject to winds which can make it choppy. Maundy's Bay is usually the one I head to if others are choppy or rough.

My vote is Meads Bay - calm, long and wide. Shoal Bay East is fabulously calm as well - great color and sparking white sand. Maundys Bay is also great, however a resort dominates the entire beach and it's not very long. Most of the others beaches are great, but not as consistantly clam as the three above.
