Anguilla accomodations
Can anyone give us some feedback on the following:

La Sirena, Great House, Rendesvous Bay Hotel,
Cocolaberesort? We are have a flight March 2-10. Hoping to still find availability.

Thanks,
Mike

If availability is what you need to know, go to Expedia.com they are linked into the hotel reservations and will be able to tell you what is available
|
Of the four I would pick Cocoloba Resort www.cocolobaresort.com. Don't think you will have any problem with availability. The recently reopened under new management and I saw the property in Nov. Believe they are extending their grand opening special thru the winter season. They don't have an 800 # yet but do have a fax # and web address. If you e-mail me I can direct you to another web site where I have a trip report from our Nov/Dec trip to Anguilla and more Cocoloba info

I'm going in May & I considered the same resorts. I chose Rendesvous because they have the best rooms on the oceanfront for the cost.

I can definitely recommend Rendezvous Bay, esp. if you are staying at one of the villas. We did not stay there but visited there e few times, and the (very friendly) on-site manager showed us a few of the rooms. Clean, spacious and VERY quiet on a great beach. Also we loved the restaurant. It all looked great!

I recommend La Sirena Hotel, especially the Garden Junior Suites. They are very nice, just as nice as a Cap Room (with a whirlpool bathroom with Jacuzzi, well equipped Kitchenette, Living Area with pullout sofa etc)and moderately priced. Stayed with them twice and staff and service is really fine.

Be sure to ask for the Garden Suite or the suite on two floors (living & kitchen downstairs, bed & bath upstairs)

Highly recommend it.

We stayed at the Great House about 5 years ago and loved it. The people were great and the cottage was so neat with overstuffed chairs on the porch and a fantastic view of the ocean. The food was good back then, especially their homemade breads and soups. The beach there was one of the prettiest on the island too.

Howard,
I'm interested in your info re Cocoloba but I don't know how to email you. Can you post a link to your trip report on this board?
Thanks

It is on a competitors web site so would probably be deleted. On the upper right click on Anguilla and find. Then go to the post best place to stay on Anguilla and you will find a post of mine with e-mail address
