Anchorage condos on St Thomas

Has anyone stayed in these condos? I would greatly appreciate any feedback. It seems like such a large complex that there would not be any good views from the balconies.
Thank you in advance for your reply!

Hi,
I visited those condos a few years ago and found that they were a good value, however, the beach is not the best in the island and is a small bay which is sometimes adversely affected by conditions in the weather and sea currents bringing in the seaweed at times. It is not a guarantee that the small beach there will be perfect, but it is good enough to swim there most times. It has lovely spacious grounds all of which can be nicely views from the condos over and out past the lawns and gardens, tennis courts and restaurant. Perfect for families with children.
If you need help booking one of these condos, let me know. Also would recommend another set of condos called Caret Bay, if you don't mind having no beach but instead will have your own private pool. I also have another place called Peterborg by the sea which is in the Magen's bay area on the north side (best beach area) and this 2 b/r place has waterfront sea access and comes with a car. Hope this helps.

Anne, I live here and as far as I can see, all the units face the water. A resturant, pool, tennis and the yacht club are right there.
For a pleasant day sail, try "Salt Whistle Charters" at 340-690-7141
Enjoy!

Many of the Anchorage condos are rented through Antilles Resorts, which has its office there. We used them to rent a condo at Crystal Cove, which is on Sapphire Beach - probably the best beach on St. Thomas with a hotel or condos on it.

We were quite impressed with the Antilles personnel - very nice and very efficient.

The units run kinda perpendicular to the water so you might have not such a great view of the water. The beach is a small section at the end of Cowpet Bay next to the Yacht Club. A short walk over the "rocks" or thru Cowpet will get you to the bigger beach with great swimming. Most units are privately owned so amenities will vary with the unit. You'll need to rent a car. Jerry makes a great pina colada and there is a small pool and tennis court.
