An island comparable to Cayman

my fiancee and I absolutely fell in love with the cayman islands for it's beautiful white beaches and crystal clear water. We want to go somewhere that is comparable to it for our honeymoon (besides Mexico). We thought St. Lucia would be nice, but from what I'm hearing, the water isn't the greatest. We went to Punta Cana last year, and although it was gorgeous, still didn't compare to cayman.

any suggestions??? We're also looking for all-inclusive resorts....

Thanks!

We love Grand Cayman too. We have been there yearly since 1997. Last May we went to the Turks and Cacios and loved it too. The beach is even better than Grand Cayman. We stayed at the Grace Bay Club and it surpassed places we have stayed in at Grand Cayman. Anconda resturant was very good. We ate there every night. There were all-inclusives resort next to us but out of those the Allegro looked the best. Club Med and Beaches were neon colored. I think we stayed at the nicest resort on the island. Point Grace looked very nice too. The island itself was not very pretty. The roads were bad, but it looks like they are triing to improve them. Grand Cayman has more resturants, more going on, but we loved our stay at the Grace Bay Club. We were totally pampered, and the water was crystal clear. There were alot of condo going up. I think this could be the next Grand Cayman, but it needs more time to develop shops and resturants.

If you are a fan of GC I assume you like great beaches, low crime, nice downtown area, little poverty, etc.

Antigua is a great choice and Sandals Antigua is lovely.

I thought the beach at Royal St. Lucian was wonderful. I stayed there when it was a Hyatt and loved it! I have heard the beaches on parts of the island are rough but near Pigeon Point they were great. Also St. L is so much more lush and tropical than GC.

Provo Turks & Caicos
Anguilla
Barbados
Bamahas Out Islands

All these are similar to GC and should meet your requirements quite well ... and I'm sure there are others.

I must second the recommendation for Anguilla. It has the most beautiful beaches, and water. Most islands with the better beaches are arid. We loved Anguilla, and would go again.

We've been to GC, T&C, Bahamas Out Islands, BVI's, USVI's and I would have to say that Anguilla is one of our favorites. It reminds me of GC and T&C 10 or 15 years ago. Unbelievable beaches that have yet to be overrun by megaresorts. Very friendly locals and a lot of exploring to be had on Anguilla. Its beaches are fantastic! Second favorite is Cat Island in the Bahamas. No crowds. Fun to explore and the best snorkeling we have ever experienced.
