All inclusive week for 3 couples DEC/JAN 2003-04

Hello all,
Wanted to get some tips for some all-inclusive resorts for 3 couples in their mid twenties to the Caribbean (Dec 27-Jan 3 2004). We are open to all types of resorts and any island, however must be all-inclusive. One other restriction we have, is that we do not want a very large/commercialized resort (Sandals, etc). Looking to lounge around the beach during the day, have some night life, and plenty of bars. Let me know what you think. We are trying to really plan ahead to get some great deals. Thanks!

it will be difficult to find a small and intimate hotel that is also all-inclusive, as the two concepts are generally anti-thetical.

One place does come to mind and that's The Caves in Negril, Jamaica. It's a small, hip establishment in the Cliffs that I believe is AI. The nightlife in Negril is about as active as anything you'll find in the Caribbean.

You might also want to try the Moondance Villas in Negril, which offer all-inclusive rates with a cook who will prepare your meals to order. Or if you have the money to spend, Bluefields Bay villas on the southern coast of Jamaica. Fabulous but pricey. Probably $15,000 for the week, and you won't get much night life.

Le Sport on St. Lucia and La Source on Grenada are also all-inclusives of a different ilk. They're health and sports oriented, and while they're sister hotels, they're not part of a chain.

You could look into the Braco Village in Runaway, Jamaica. It is a great resrot in that it has its own village/town area on the property. Offers more selections of dining, bars, things to see and do day and night. Nice pool too. Location is good in that it is colose to both MoBay and Ocho Rios so tons to see and do off the resort as well. Nice upbeat atmsophere.
