All-inclusive resorts
 

<BR>Can anyone recommend an all-inclusive resort that they have been to? Our needs are for 4 teenagers, one 10 year-0ld, and an active family that enjoys all water activities- snorkeling, golf , the beach, etc., etc. Our plans are to viist in late June of 2000! Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

Hi Skip: <BR>We travelled with our 3 kids this past Feb to Manzanillo, Mexico. If you are looking for something for everyone, this could be it. It is called Club Maeva, an all-inclusive which was a bonus. Don't know about 7 in a room but our suite (which the kids called the castle as it was on 3 levels) slept 6. The Allegro resort in Cozumel Mexico was great. My husband and I have stayed there twice with our two children. The food was good (nobody got sick) the service excellent and we liked the location (being close to scuba spots. Cozumel is a beautiful island and we felt very safe there, don't hesitate to rent a car and drive around. Or take a ferry to the mainland and visit the ruins. Good luck

"Beaches" is the Sandals for families. They had lots to do for teens and younger children. EVERYTHING is included (SCUBA, windsurfing, etc., etc.) There are a couple, Negril Jamaica and Turks & Caicos... maybe more. I expect that they are pricey. <BR> <BR>The Mexico all-inclusives at Playa del Carmen/Playacar or elsewhere may have better prices.

Check the forum under Latin America and you can find lots of good info on the Al's in Cozumel, and the Playacar resort area - okay, so most of them are written by me but what can I say, we love the area! <BR>Try the RIU Yucatan or any of the all-inclusives in the Mayan Riveria which will either include or give you access to all of the activities you have listed. <BR>The RIU Tequila which is behind the Yucatan includes some golf I believe. <BR>And from any of these resorts, just put the whole family into a cab and head down to Xcaret where the kids can swim with the dolphins, snuba, waterwalk, dive (okay, so these activities all cost extra in addition to park entrance fee but don't your kids already think you're a bank!) or snorkle, swim the underground river or just laze on the many beaches and lagoons. <BR>Note however that June is the hot, steamy and rainy season in Mexico. But do consider this area another time! <BR>
