All Inclusive Next Summer

I am looking to give my son and his fiance a honeymoon as a wedding present. They will be married next July.

Requirements are:

1. All inclusive
2. Adults only
3. On the beach
4. Some offsite activities or sightseeing.
5. Good service
6. Quality resort but it does not have to be super deluxe.
7. Easy to travel to from Charlotte.

I have been to Jamaica and we stayed at Couples Ocho Rios and really enjoyed it. I would consider sending them to Jamaica but I am not sure about the weather in July.

Thanks for your help.

hi actiontoo, what a wonderful wedding gift. i know 2 couples that have honeymooned in the past 3 years at couple swept away and both rave about the resort. one couple has returned twice already. the other says they would easily go back but are a bit more adventuras and wish to go to other islands.
you don't say what your weather concerns are. i assume you mean hurricanes. i would reserve the trip and buy trip insurance.

HI Virginia

We really loved our trip to Couples Ocho Rios. My concern with the weather is, we went at the beggining of April and I was wondering how that would compair with the weather in July as far as heat, humidity, bugs, etc.

I am sure that they would have a great time at any of the Couples resorts and that is what I am leaning towards.

Thanks for your help.

I second Virginia's recommendation of Couples Swept Away on Negril Beach in Jamaica. We went there a few years back and loved it. From your description, it is just what you are looking for. What a wonderful gift!

hi act too. here's a link for a dandy chart: http://www.weatherbase.com/weather/w...871&refer=
with the increased rainfall i can only assume a few more bugs??? possibly another wedding guest will get them some deet? but serioiusly, i find bugs to be an issue on every island i go to, mainly at sunrise and sunset, or just before a rain shower.
however, being from maine (blackflies are the state bird here) i don't find it to be a huge issue.
