All inclusive in Dominican Republic

Is there an AI in the Dominican that compares to the Royal Hideaway in Playa del Carmen ?

Visited the RH in late Feb and had a wonderful time.

RH is one of the best, top-rated AI's in the world, the only resort in Punta Cana that might come close is Secrets Excellence

No , actually the one that comes close to RH is Casa de Campo in La Romana ( South East of DR )

i'd still say Secrets.

We stayed at RH in April of 2003 and Secrets in April 2004. RH's dining was more elegant but the drinks were better at Secrets. The rooms were better at RH. Employees were friendly at both resorts. Secrets beach has more waves - but I liked that. Secrets beach was WITHOUT A DOUBT less crowded. RH's beach is a small strip with hundreds of other vacationers at resorts all crammed in together. I've heard from a family member of mine that Casa de Campo is the best AI in the DR, though.

Hi

We just came back this week from Casa de Campo. I will say that it is still the best. The shows, bars, food, activities are wonderful. However...it depends what you are looking for. I have been to Secrets and it is also a very nice place.

Casa de Campo is very spread out, you need transportation (which is readily available) to go everywhere. If you are a golf player, tennis or polo player you will get the most out of it. In my case, I can only do tennis, but still horseback riding, water sports, dancing, shows, sightseeing, Altos de Chavon and the food make up for the rest.

Whatever your decission is, enjoy it!!!
