You probably know, it's brand new, pretty property. Nice pool with a small beach bar and grill. I've not seen the units, but I can tell you that a good friend of mine stayed there for a vacation and liked it so well he bought a time share before he left. I'm sure you would not be disappointed with a stay there.

We spent two weeks at Alexandra Resort in September, 2003. We loved it. If you like to snorkel, you can easily walk down the beach to Coral Gardens and snorkel. The sun sets right in front of your balcony every night. The water was very, very warm and very, very clear and calm in front of Alexandra. There are a lot of restaurants in Provo. One large supermarket on the main highway. You'll either need to rent a vehicle or take cabs to get to most restaurants and the one supermarket. Go to www.provo.net for more info. The Resort in only a year or two old. When we were there the small restaurant had just opened. It is very casual but nice. We didn't go on any snorkel trips, just walked down the beach every day or so, and we didn't need any sunset cruises because we saw the sunset every night from our balcony. That was our third trip to Provo and we will probably return many more times!

Hi all,
A few questions on Alexandra:
1. What beach is it closest to? Years ago I stayed at Club Med on Grace Bay, and that beach was stunning (want something quieter than Club Med this time).
2. Does the hotel provide beach chairs on the beach, or do you rent them from the hotel?
3. Any idea on the price per nite for a regular room at Alexandra? Their website didn't indicate rates. Looking at March 2004.
Thanks!

The Alexandra Resort is directly on a very quiet part of Grace Bay, far from the Club Med. There are beach chairs and umbrella on the beach, also some water toys like kayacks and large plastic bicycles. Bring your own inflatable floats from Wal-Marts. Sorry, I have no idea on prices. I booked thru Interval International and got a weekly rate and stayed for two weeks.

Shirley, could you post the website for Interval International please. I did search and am coming up with websites that require passwords. Do they rent to the public or is it only a swapping situation between timeshare memebers?

The website for Interval International is www.intervalworld.com. They are a large travel agency in Miami. Fourteen years ago when I joined, you had to have a timeshare to join, but now the rules might be different. The travel business had changed at lot, especially after 9-11.

Shirley,
I tried to register on the website you posted but it looks like it's only for swapping timeshares between members:
"To begin creating your Web profile and password, please enter your Interval International Member Number and the telephone number that matches your membership record."
Without a member number there is no way to register or get access to their inventory of rentals.
Got any ideas? Thanks

Go to www.alexandraresort.com and click on CONTACT US. Ask for their brochure and prices for the time of year you are thinking of going. Good luck!
