Airport to Dorodo,PR
 

My family and I are going to Puerto Rico next week and I was wondering the best way to get from the airport to the Hyatt Cerromar, we called the Hyatt and they said they had no transportation, and recomended Dorodo Transportation. What is the fastest and least expensive way to get to the Hotel?<BR>Thank you in advance.

The Hyatt has transportation to both resorts and once you are there you can rent a car for a day if you want. Call the Hyatt back and book the airport transfers.

They said their is no transportation that they offer, need to go with Dorodo Transportation. Is cab or a car less expensive? and how is the drive from airport to Hyatt?

We flew in San Juan and took the transportation bus to the hotel. I believe it's the same one you're mentioning. I don't think I'd drive a car to the hotel personally. It's quite a distance and there are parts of PR that can be dangerous if you make a wrong turn...aside from that, the scenary is beautiful, so why not sit back and relax and let someone else do the driving for you. If you decide to venture out later, the hotel can then make arrangements for a rental car for the day.

From airport to the Cerromar is about 45 minutes. You mention family. Suggest you contact Dorado TRansportation to find the per person cost. This will allow you to weigh the cost of a rental car as opposed to using Dorado Transportation. A car can be a plus at the CErromar since it provides the opportunity to see the island sights and also to eat at restaurants other than those at the hotel. Should you decide on a rental be aware there will be a daily parking fee at the hotel. When last there it was $10 a day.

We went to Dorado in feb 2002.<BR>Do a search on the net for Santana Taxi. He has a van to take your family to Dorado. It does take about 45 mins. He charged us $60. I believe his phone# is: 787-547-1926. To save toll charges, do a search.
