Airfares to Cayman

Hi,just wondering if anyone knows where we can find good prices for airfare from Columbus to Cayman for July 6-16th? I've started to look & it seems really high for the "off" season..prices are about 650.00 a ticket. Should we buy now or wait another few weeks & hope that tickets come down in price?

Bought ours through Hotels.com and found the costs to be fairly reasonable. Got the airfare and 2 nights lodging for around $600 from DFW.

Had to make a connection or two, but was well worth it.

Might be worth a shot. Email me if you have any questions about the trip.

We are going in June. I bought my tickets in March on American out of Detroit for $650pp. Kept watching fares and within a few weeks, fares were down to $471pp. American refunded the difference. Don't know if I was just lucky, because they didn't stay down for long and are still about $571 for June. Did you try Cleveland or Cinci?

I have tried both Cincinnati & Cleveland & surprisingly price are as high or if higher than Columbus!!! Do you think I should wait another week or so before purchasing? Also, can anyone recommend a good dive operator who would take us snorkeling at Sting Ray city? Thanks for all the advice for us 1st timers to Cayman!!!!

If you're booking through an airlines like American who will refund the difference if rates decrease, you have nothing to lose by booking now. I think the closer it gets to the date, the more the chance of rates not reducing, but going higher. But that's just my opinion. Have you tried places like Bestfares or Cheaptickets? Another possibility is to book a vacation package (hotel and air)through AA. Last year we got a good reduced fare by doing that.
Are you going to dive or just snorkel? If just snorkeling, try Capt. Marvin's or Capt. Dexter's. If diving, this is my first year too, and am trying Don Foster's. Check out Divecayman.com.
Good luck!

If you haven't booked yet, Usair has price of $479 for 7/6-7/16.

For anyone else looking to book in Jan '05 you may want to take a look at pricing. I was able to get airfare of $288 with a direct up(PHL-GCM). With 7 in our party it was a major savings from Friday's price of $710 each. Also a friend traveling in late Dec got a break on pricing too.

USAir has a price break going on at the moment - got my tickets for October/November at a really good price from Indianapolis. For snorkeling, go with Capt Clinton Ebanks - small groups and he gives you individual attention. [email protected]
