Aguilla Fans / "Today Show Wedding" to Air Friday

Just a heads up for all of you Anguilla fans. I saw in my local paper yesterday that the "Today Show" on NBC will be broadcasting their annual wedding episode from Anguilla on Friday, Nov. 19 starting at 8:00 a.m. eastern time.

They are supposed to have various shots of the island before the actual ceremony and from what I read in the paper, the whole show will be dedicated to time on Anguilla.

Of course I meant, "Anguilla," not Aguilla.

Today Show showed this morning a story from their news reader Ann Curry. She was at Cap Juluca with her husband and 2 kids (which is where the wedding will take place).
Now I'm depressed for the rest of the day (because I'm where I am and not there).

I saw the promo piece this morning, arriving at SXM, boat over to CJ. Hey they even had customs on Maundays Bay-
in the real world that will not happen!
It all did look wonderful! As a frequent guest I must say it is not as exclusive as it appeared!! Not everyone
gets a butler, thats a nice $150/day
extra!!!
The Bride and Groom arrived a few days ago---and the hotel is a buzz!!
I will be there next week! For CJ fans it was nice seeing Carroll!!!

caribtraveler, I wonder if the Ann Curry piece was taped. She and her son were on my flight from SJU to SXM a few weeks ago and we chatted about her being in the area to do a segment for work.

I noticed on the show's website that they state the wedding is taking place on the "island of Cap Juluca."

The piece was taped, and shown today as
Ann Curry will not be on the island tomorrow with the rest of the hosts.

Cap Juluca a "new" island, and for some this is true, they never leave the hotel! This faux paux was mentioned on another forum-someone did email the
website!

Yes it was taped. She actually was doing the show today in NY.

It's certainly raining cats and dogs here now, so I'm glad the weather held out long enough for the wedding to take place outdoors.

Katie, Matt and Al sure hightailed it out of there after the nuptials. A friend in SXM called me at lunchtime and she'd seen them in the airport heading home.

I missed the piece on Thursday, but the customs on the beach isn't too surprising. The Temenos Estates sales pitch includes customs on the beach. If they can do it, why can't Cap Juluca? Actually, when I was there and asked about it, I think I recall being told that the customs would probably be located between the golf course resort and CJ.

Maybe customs with the $150/day butler,
and pool villa at CJ!I know it does not come with the private boat! Now I will ask!! Hey why not!!
Statia, did the Today show trio fly
AA or did they have a corporate jet?
I enjoyed every minute of it!

Penny, I honestly don't know as my friend only saw them in the lounge at the airport. However, Ann Curry was in cattle class with me on AA on her way down.

Penny,
I heard the trio had a private charter. They have already left.

Thanks Ann and Statia! I would assume the trio went corporate, probably other key NBC staff too!
