Age question in reference to Cap Juluca
 

I know the crowd varies but we are in our fifties (well my husband is in his forties!)and wondering if we will feel comfortable at Cap. I know it is a big honeymoon destination and we mix with all ages but some places we have found to definitely lean certain ways. But we like casual elegance, not pretentious surroundings, especially on vacation! We have been to many upscale resorts in the South Pacific and they were always relaxed and accommodating. I'd appreciate any input. We are considering May 2005. Thanks!

No to worry, you will fit right in with many of the guests. You'll find all ages from newly weds to nearly deads (and everything in between). CJ offers the perfect blend of casual elegance you are seeking.

I agree that you'll be happy with Cap Juluca! It seems to be the most laid-back, mellow of the three main resorts at Cap Juluca. It should be relatively similar to the laid-back nature of the South Pacific resorts that you mentioned that you enjoyed. The other 2 resorts tend to have guests that are a bit more glitzy and high-powered, generally speaking.

Thanks you guys! That was my only reservation about going there so I guess it's time to look into booking it! I appreciate the straight forward answers. Now to decide which room type!
My husband loves the Hobie Cats for sailing & I believe I heard they were available there. True? Thanks again...

My recollection is that the Sports facility at CJ has Aqua Cats rather than Hobie Cats for use by the resort guests. The Aqua Cats have a single mainsail (no jib) and are similar in size (about 12' long) and design to the Hobie Wave but are made by a different manufacture. They are just as fun to sail.
