Advice needed!!!
 

My daughter and her three friends (early 20's) are looking for a reasonable, all-inclusive resort with clear water beaches and access to some night life. They are considering any of the islands in the Bahamas and are planning on spending a week in early March of 2009. They would appreciate any help, advice, or suggestions. Thanks in advance!!

they may want to look a bit further south. bahamas will be warm but not hot in march and the water will be too cool for much swimming. jamaica has several ai's, or cancun, cozumel or the maya riviera coast all have loads of ai's. perhaps someplace near playa del carman. plenty happening but not as crazy as coz or cancun.

I would recomment Jamaica, specifically, Negril!
I stayed there with a few of my friends last March (we're also early 20s) and we had a blast. Advice/Tips: Stay off the beach at night, and always be with one person. I'm not saying that in a bad way, just a reminder no matter where they end up going. Even as 4 pretty big guys who can handle ourselves, we made that rule and stuck to it, and it worked out well! I would recommend Playa Del Carmen. It's a super fun place with a nice beach. It would be great for people in their early 20's.

I would also suggest PDC but try to steer her non-AI if possible. Have her check out hotellatortuga.com and for sure check out a very active forum www.playa.info and www.locogringo.com
