I've looked here and aruba-bb.com but could not find answers:

We are going to Marriott Resort and Stelaris Aruba soon.

Where are the good places for breakfast and lunch near the hotel?

Can you leave your credit card and some money safely at the palapa when you are swimming? How about leaving them at other beaches?

Do you need cash, or are credit cards OK for activities there and around Aruba?

Do you tip the concierge for incidentals such as restaurant reservations?

So many questions. Appreciate any answers. Thanks ((*))

You will not need your cash and credit cards with you on the beach. Any drinks or food can be charged to your room.

Moomba Beach Restaurant is an easy walk down the beach. It is on the beach and open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Do not leave your credit cards or money at the palapa or any other beach when you are not there. Credit cards are accepted widely in Aruba. Yes, tip the concierge for every service he/she performs for you.

Definitely do not leave cash or credit cards anywhere! and that is anywhere in the world!!

Moombas is next door, also the Holiday Inn. You can walk on the beach and then cut through the Holiday Inn and there are a couple of places in that area. I think there was a dunkin donuts and a bagel shop in the area between the HI and the Hyatt. This is about a 10 minute walk.

Credit cards are widely accepted.

The Marriott has a breakfast buffet that goes until 11am. We ate a large late breakfast, took a yogurt for early morning (had a mini fridge) and then waited until dinner. The Marriott was great.

To answer my questions:

We had breakfast and lunch mostly on our deck with food that we bought either at the town supermarket or at the lobby counter.

We did not leave anything on the beach.

Credit cards were good for almost everything, but it was good to bring a lot of one, five, and ten dollar bills for incidentals.

We didn't tip the concierge for making simple reservations.
